BATH

Join us Wednesdays at 6.30am and Sundays at 8am @  Warleigh Weir

Meet at the top of Ferry Lane ten minutes before the dip time, you can park on the grass verge on the opposite side of the road.

We also host evening full moon dips and there are spontaneous suggestions from the community for meets and dips, details of these are shared on our community WhatsApp channels.

If you are NEW to cold water, we host Sunday Baptisms - extended welcome sessions with a little more time to do movement, breathwork and hang out after with a fire and a hot drink.

Please read the information on how to safely dip, especially if you have not engaged with cold water before.

BRIGHTON

Join us Sundays at 8am @  Hove Seafront (between King Alfred Leisure Centre and Rockwater)

Meet us on the beach, walking down from the promenade towards the waters edge roughly in line with the Fish Shack and the group of brightly coloured, chained up kayaks. We often have a fire pit going, you will no doubt see numerous men grouped together in Dry Robes.

We will hug (or handshake!) and chat, connecting while we wait for any stragglers, normally dipping by 8.15am. We take time to pause and come into our breath, before warming up with exercises. We dip, some short, some long, but we respect the water and listen to our own bodies, each person is different. Once we have dipped, we use movement to ensure we can harness the energy the cold water gives us for the rest of the day. This is all followed by a hot cuppa, connection, chat and warming up by the fire.

Some people come for the water, some for the community, many for both. If you are new please let the group know on your arrival.

Please read the information on how to safely dip, especially if you have not engaged with cold water before.

BRISTOL

Every Sunday at 8 AM - Conham River Car Park

Gather in the car park for a brief meet-and-greet. As a pack, we stroll to our sacred spot by the river - a serene haven opposite Beese’s, marked by a welcoming bench, a coat-hanging spot, and convenient steps with a ladder leading into the embracing cold of the river.

Spot us easily - a group of men, clad in dryrobes sometimes with dogs. We do warm welcomes; so if you're new please do introduce yourself before we leave.

Our ritual is simple yet profound. We pause to embrace the moment, engage in Qi Gong-inspired exercises to align minds and bodies, and then - the plunge! No pressure, just encouragement to embrace the cold at your own pace. Experienced dippers are there to guide newcomers.

Post-dip, we instruct you on some further warm ups and finally get changed where we revel in the afterglow - with hot drinks by the river or at a nearby café.

Please read the information on how to safely dip, especially if you have not engaged with cold water before.

Disclaimer

IceBreakers is a community of men supporting men, we love and value the benefits of cold water but we are not experts. There is no pressure to enter and you do so at your own risk. We use breathwork, movement and other techniques to prepare for the experience and warm up afterwards but every person is different and so do ensure you seek the relevant professional and medical advice before engaging with any experience with extremes of cold involved. For those with underlying health conditions this is even more important.
